My Superhero
Anyone
who knows Charles knows Charles loved his superheroes,Batman,
Spider-Man,
Superman etc...
Charles
always had his little superhero guys with him, whether he had them in
his hands or
stuffed in his little pockets. Wherever
Charles was his superhero guys were not far behind.
Charles
looked up to his superheroes, because they fought bad guys and saved
the day.
The
thing Charles never knew is that if he was looking for a superhero he
didn't have to look
far.All
he had to do was look in the mirror.Charles
was a superhero himself.
Charles
could not fly or bounce bullets off his chest. Charles'
powers were different.
He could make you smile, he could make you
laugh, he could fill your heart with happiness.
But
like all superheroes they have a weakness. Kryptonite was Superman's
weakness,
cancer was Charles' weakness.
For
over four years Charles fought cancer, he fought bravely and true,
with grace and dignity.
But now that your fight is over my heart aches
and I shed tears.
Superheroes
know the meaning of the word sacrifice and Charles is no exception.
Charles
has sacrificed parts of himself so others can continue his
fight.
You
can rest now Charles knowing you did your best...and
know that you are my superhero.
Superheroes
never really die...they go on to become legends.
